Witbit Water Park at Grindstone Lake

One of the more recent additions to Ruidoso’s summer lineup, the Witbit Water Park is a floating, inflatable playground that is sure to delight. Find it at Grindstone Lake from Memorial Day to Labor Day. But take note, you’ll need to make reservations through Ruidoso Parks and Rec to ensure you get a turn on this popular floating attraction With giant slides, wiggle bridges, trampolines, and more fantastic features, it’s the most fun you’ll have anywhere! Splash, jump, and run around on this high-energy attraction to cool off this summer. Great for all ages, you can purchase tickets online or even reserve the Witbit Water Park for your private events and parties. While it’s definitely the most unique attraction at Grindstone Lake, don’t forget to check out horseback riding, fishing, and hiking, or the disc golf course and scenic picnic spots while you’re at Grindstone.

Flying J Ranch – Chuckwagon Suppers & Western Show

Opening day at the Flying J Ranch is set for Friday, May 28th. Running nightly through Labor Day, the show will draw guests into the culture of the old west with a bona fide chuckwagon supper, western music, and even an entire old west town, called Bonita City, that features shops, treats, and family-friendly activities. Bring your camera, appetite, and excitement – the Flying J Wranglers will treat you to an impressive western show filled with harmonies and humor! Remember to book your tickets in advance to save your seat at the table.

Ski Apache

Just because winter is over doesn’t mean there’s not more fun to be had at Ski Apache! Head up the mountain to enjoy a variety of activities, including ziplining, hiking, mountain biking, and our favorite – the gondola ride! They’re offering opening weekend discounts so you can get the most for your money this Memorial Day weekend. Ruidoso Downs Race Track Opening Weekend

Catch the races at Ruidoso Downs! Opening Memorial Day weekend, the top two- and three-year-old quarter horses in the world will be competing in the Ruidoso Futurity/Derby Trials and the $25K John Andreini Memorial Stakes. Head out to enjoy the horseraces, Billy the Kid Casino, food, drinks, and fun for all. General admission and parking are both free for guests, but tickets can be purchased if you’d like upgraded seating. Plan your trip to the racetrack this weekend and kick of summer with a great time.

Grindstone Stables

A horseback ride through the tall pines is the perfect way to experience Ruidoso at its best. Luckily for our guests, Grindstone Stables allows you to do just that! This family friendly activity is good for kiddos and adults. The three mile ride will take you past Grindstone Lake to Townsend Ridge with plenty of wildlife viewing and photography opportunities along the way. Sound like fun? Wingfield Market

Replacing the Ruidoso Downs Artisans and Farmers Market, Wingfield Park Growers Market is scheduled for every Saturday morning at 300 Center Street in Midtown. If you’re looking for local produce, artists, bakers, live music, and a great atmosphere, this is the place to be! Hosted by Ruidoso Parks and Rec, Wingfield Market is the perfect event for local shopping. Stop by between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM every Saturday from May to October to experience it for yourself.

Screaming Eagle Summer Tubing & Zipline

A top summer destination, located in Alto, NM, Screaming Eagle Enterprises features summer tubing and ziplining for the whole family! Opening Memorial Day weekend for a summer full of fun, you’ll definitely want to add this to your list of “must see” attractions. The 30-foot tall zipline will send riders on a 300-foot thrill ride, if you’re up for an adventure! And don’t leave without trying their state-of-the-art summer tubing.
