Formerly known as the Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium, All American Cowboyfest is coming to Ruidoso for 2021 with an exciting four-day festival planned that will delight and immerse families in western culture, country music, and for the first time, rodeo. Tickets go on sale starting June 1st.
Scheduled for September 30 – October 3, 2021 at the Ruidoso Downs Race Track, All American Cowboyfest will feature a star studded lineup of live music performers, Ruidoso Downs’ first rough stock rodeo, and the longtime favorite championship chuckwagon cookoff. Events are scheduled from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM on Thursday, September 30th, 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM Friday and Saturday, October 1 – 2, and 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 3.
Celebrating the traditions of the West, the event will continue to incorporate much-beloved traditions of the Cowboy Symposium, while adding new events and more live music on three stages for attendees to enjoy all weekend long. Musicians Kevin Fowler, Aaron Watson, and western swing performer Dave Alexander will headline the event, with numerous artists performing throughout the festival on stages around the property.
Grab your boots and spurs, ’cause it’s time to rodeo! On Saturday, October 2nd, Ruidoso Downs will host its first rough stock pro rodeo from 2:00-4:00 PM, featuring ranch bronc riding, saddle bronc, and bull riding. With 12 competitors participating in each event for a chance at competing in the championship round, these cowboys will be looking to win prize money in their bids for first place.
Other highlights will include the annual chuckwagon cooking competition, western vendors, a barnyard petting zoo for the kids, and even mounted shooting demonstrations. Whether you’ve been to the Cowboy Symposium before or All American Cowboyfest is your first experience, there is plenty to see, do, and learn for all ages at this family-friendly event.
