First Virtual Job for 2020 Racing Season to Take Place Saturday, April 11th
RUIDOSO DOWNS, APRIL 10, 2020 – Ruidoso Downs Race Track and Billy the Kid Casino will have an updated online presence going into the 2020 summer season with the launch of the all-new RaceRuidoso.com. The website highlights new branding along with several upgraded features including a tool for planning your day at the races, an online job application, an upgraded event calendar and an online finish line photo store.
“We are excited to unveil our new website, especially since our first virtual job fair begins this Saturday,” said Jeff True, president and general manager of All American Ruidoso Downs, LLC. “We’re looking for enthusiastic people to join us for our 2020 live racing season. The majority of jobs we have available are in food and beverage, security, mutuels and other customer facing positions. The online job fairs will replace our onsite events while we continue to self isolate but continue to plan for summer racing.”
In addition to the online application, the website also features additional functionalities including:
- Online Finish Line Photos: Horsemen and fans can now order live-action racing photos, finish line, and winner circle photos online;
- Day at the Races Event Planner: This new section helps visitors plan a perfect day at Ruidoso Downs including seating maps, a calendar of events and what’s on tap to eat and drink
- Expanded News Section: Stay up-to-date on everything racing-related including Stall Notes, the Weekend Preview and the Weekend Wrap-up;
- Triple Crown Tradition: This section tells the history of the Ruidoso, Rainbow and All American racing traditions, highlighting what makes these races so special;
- Betting Guide 101: This easy-to-understand guide gives beginners a quick-start guide on how to place a bet;
- Multi-functional Events Calendar: The new event calendar can be viewed in a variety of ways – by stakes races, important dates, or by month.
The 2020 racing season is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 22nd of Memorial Day Weekend and will feature four days of racing including two days of trials for the $1 million (est.) Ruidoso Futurity (May 22nd -23rd), the first leg of the quarter horse Triple Crown, the Ruidoso Derby trials (May 24th) and the John Andreini Memorial Stakes (May 25th).
