RUIDOSO DOWNS, New Mexico (August 27, 2018) — Rainbow Futurity winner Mm Fourinthemorning will start from the 10th post position in the Grade 1, $3,000,000 All American Futurity and Grade 1, $759,197 Ruidoso Derby winner Jess Move You drew the fifth post position for the Grade 1, $1,238,000 All American Derby during a draw on Tuesday afternoon at Ruidoso Downs.

The All American Derby will be held on Sunday afternoon while the All American Futurity is contested on Monday, Labor Day. Each race is at 440 yards.

Mark and Annette McCloy’s homebred Mm Fourinthemorning, the number-one two-year-old in the national American Quarter Horse Association poll, will by ridden by Ricky Ramirez. The jockey had his choice of three horses, all from the Blane Wood stable, and chose to ride Mm Fourinthemorning.

A gelding sired by Mr Jess Perry, Mm Fourinthemorning has blossomed in his latest three starts with three consecutive wins. The highlight of the winning streak was his late-charging three-quarter-length victory in the Grade 1, $1,000,000 Rainbow Futurity. In that 400-yard futurity he showed with his closing rally that 440 yards in the All American Futurity should be to his advantage.

Mm Fourinthemorning won his All American Futurity trial by two-and-one-quarter lengths with the second trial day’s second fastest time of :21.648. There were two days of All American Futurity trials with the horses racing to the five-fastest times on each day advancing to the All American Futurity.

Ricardo Bernal and Reymundo Resendez’s Jess Move You, the nation’s fifth-ranked older horse and highest-ranked three-year-old, is having a tremendous summer at Ruidoso Downs for 24-year-old trainer Rudy Valles.

Jess Move You won his first two starts of the season, capped by his win in the Ruidoso Derby. He flew down the inside rail to win by three quarters of a length.

The gelding’s only throw-out race this summer came in the Grade 1, $801,604 Rainbow Derby when he had a horrid start, was never in contention and finished seventh.

A gelding by Apollitical Jess, Jess Move You came back to his top form in the All American Derby trials when he won his trial by one-half length — despite a bobble at the start — with the fourth-fastest qualifying time of :21.414 for the 440 yards.
