4 Kid Approved Activities for Spring Break in Ruidoso

Let the countdown begin! Spring break is just around the corner and Ruidoso is the PERFECT place to take a quick trip this year. Reader’s Digest even said so in their list of 17 spring break getaways that don’t require air travel!

Since spring break is a great excuse to take the whole family on a quick trip, here are 4 kid approved activities to enjoy while you’re staying in Lincoln County.

Tubing at Ruidoso Winter Park

This winter wonderland in Alto is the only place to experience both summer and winter tubing! Luckily for our visitors, the snow sticks around through the spring so you can race down the slopes at Ruidoso Winter Park on your tube. There are different hills that cater to varying guest heights, so even the littlest adventurers can have a great time tubing. You can also rent an igloo for your visit that includes perks like food, drinks, and a warm place to rest between runs! Reservations are highly recommended, especially during busy times like spring break, so head to the website to reserve your time and date ASAP.

Games at Adventure Mountain

Go carts, mini golf, laser tag, and arcade games – it’s a kid’s paradise at Adventure Mountain! As Ruidoso’s family fun center, Adventure Mountain features indoor and outdoor activities so you’re set, regardless of the weather. Bumper cars, batting cages, rock climbing walls, and a ropes course are also on site for kids to enjoy! Ask for a military discount when you arrive.

OHV Rides with Backcountry Attitudes

This might be a kid approved list, but even the adults will LOVE this adventure. Experience a wild ride with Backcountry Attitudes’ OHV self-guided or guided tours! Take a 4×4 tour off-road adventure in the beautiful mountains around Lincoln County for 2, 3, or 4 hours.
